Homeschooling Part 1 - Construction Theme

I did a simple table set up while he's sleeping. Kids love to see something new on the wall, even with a simple set up.

Activity 1 - Decorating background 

Click the images below and print (color) on art paper or normal paper. Paste it on the wall with Blu Tack. This Blu Tack won't damage your wall and you can use it over and over again!

But since i don't own a color printer yet, i skip to Activity 2. If you have color printer, do print it, it can save so much time for busy moms out there. 😘

Activity 2 - Coloring

Learning the DANGER signs on construction site. Print the images below on A4 size papers. Let your kid paint it with Yellow.

Washable kids paint is the best! So you won't have difficulties to wipe the table or the floor or even on your kid's shirt.

You can teach them slowly, about the Construction Site. That these are the danger signs. Meaning only Construction Workers can enter the site.

Activity 3 - Paint with Earth Colors

Construction is more towards building something with the Earth Materials. Use this theme to let them explore their inner self with painting too.

What i use is Brown. But then my son requested to make some Grey. So i gave him Black and White bottle paints for him to mix it himself.

Activity 4 - Learn about Construction Worker

Activity 5 - Learn about Construction Trucks

You can print this activity for few sets for;
-print black & white (for coloring with Dot A Dot or paint)
-learn to spell
-match with truck toys
-learn how the trucks functioning
(bulldozer pushes sand, excavator digs sand, etc)

Activity 6 - Sensory Bin in Construction Site

Set up Earth materials. Kids Playsand, stones, woods, etc

Teach again about how excavator dig sand, put into dump truck. How bulldozer pushes the sand.

Let them play for hours! 💖

These are the products i've used before. You can find it at various shops in Malaysia or Australia. 

Trucks / Playsand - Playsand / This kids playsand had been washed & screened so that it will be safe for young kids.

Activity 7 - Books for Great References

The books (trucks-related) that i personally love.

Activity 8 - Puzzle is Fun

My son loves puzzles. To follow this theme, construction puzzles are the best.

Activity 9 - Little Mechanics

This set comes with one truck and the kids drill. I love it so much.

If you want to be advance, buy the kids workbench for them to explore the tools, which will be perfect for this theme too.
